Quality applies to JPG and WebP / AVIF. PNG is lossless and may be larger. JPG uses a white background for transparency.
Up to 40 MP per source and 16 MP per output. Only the first image is converted. Live Photo motion, HDR and auxiliary images are not preserved. Large files can take a while on mobile devices. EXIF metadata is not copied.
Export a HEIC photo as PNG
PNG is useful when another editor or workflow requires that format. It avoids a new JPG compression step, but the resulting file can be substantially larger than the HEIC original.
Conversion cannot restore information already lost in the source. Only the first image is exported; Live Photo motion, HDR and auxiliary images are not preserved. The quality slider does not apply to PNG.

Why can the output be larger?
File size depends on dimensions, format and image content. PNG preserves pixels without a quality setting. Try WebP or JPG and a lower quality value when reducing file size is your priority.
Can I use HEIC, SVG, GIF or PDF?
Standard image tools support JPG, PNG and WebP. HEIC conversion and PDF tools are available on their own pages. SVG tools have dedicated pages for static vector artwork. GIF is not supported. Animated PNG or WebP images are flattened to a still image.
Are these tools free?
